Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airport

Sao Paulo international airport is situated in the district of Guarulhos. The airport got its name from a former governor of Sao Paulo state: Govenador André Franco Montoro. But the Brazilians call the airport Cumbica most of the time, after its location.

The airport has two terminals, which are at walking distance of each other (10 minutes). Annually, Cumbica handles about 19 million passengers. It is Brazil's busiest passenger airport. The airport is going to expand greatly for the 2014 World Championships of soccer and the 2016 Olympic Games.
