Train

There is no train connection to San Diego Airport.

Car and bus

San Diego airport is easy to reach via the I-5. In a northerly direction, take the exit San Diego Airport, then follow the signs to Hawthorn Street, which leads to North Harbor Drive. The entrance to the airport appears after about a mile.
In a southerly direction, also take the exit San Diego Airport on the I-5, this will take you to Kettner Boulevard, turn right at the intersection (traffic lights) with Sassafras, and turn left at the next traffic lights, you are now on Pacific Highway, turn right at the Laurel Street intersection, right again at the next traffic lights, you are now on North Harbor Drive.

Between the airport and the center of San Diego there is a bus every 10 minutes, the Flyer Route 992, which stops at both terminals and also stops at Santa Fe Depot (for Coaster trains) and the Amtrak train station.

Car rental - San Diego International Airport

In the terminals, there are no car rental company desks, which are located immediately outside the airport premises. There are shuttle buses to the offices of Advantage, Alamo, Autorent, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Fox, Hertz, National, Pacific, Payless, Rent4Less, Thrifty and West Coast Rent-a-Car, which can be requested via special telephones or via the Airport Ambassadors (see under Information). Taxi

There are plenty of taxis in front of each terminal. A staff member will direct you to the first available taxi, unless you insist on taking another taxi. Taxi companies that operate at the airport include Airport Yellow Cab of San Diego (tel: +1(0) 619 234 6161) and Orange Cab (tel: +1(0) 619 291 3333).

Airport Parking

There is a parking area in front of each terminal. The parking rate for the first hour is $1.00, after which it is $2.00 an hour. The daily rate for the first day is $18.00 and after that it is $24.00 per day. There are three long-term parking areas, outside the airport premises, with a daily rate between $10.00 and $12.00. From these areas on 3015 North Harbor Drive, 2395 McCain Road and 3302 Pacific Highway, there are shuttle buses to the terminals, in colors green, orange and blue.
