Hotels

There are no hotels on the airport premises, but the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina (tel: +1(0)619 291 2900) is located immediately opposite the airport. Other hotels nearby include: Best Western Yacht Harbor Hotel (tel: +1(0)619 224 3254), Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside (tel: +1(0)619 224 3621), Radisson Hotel La Jolla (tel: +1(0)858 453 5500), Ramada Plaza Hotel Circle (tel: +1(0)619 291 6500) and San Diego Marriott Hotel and Marina (tel: +1(0)619 234 1500). Shops and restaurants

The airport has a reasonably, though not excessively high, number of shops, fast food restaurants, snack bars and cafés. There are no Duty Free shops at this airport.

Baggage

For safety reasons, it is not possible to store baggage at San Diego Airport. There is a lost and found desk at the baggage handling area in Terminal 2 which is open from 08:00-12:00 and from13:00-17:00 (tel: +1(0)619 400 2140).

Information

Everywhere in the terminals, there are volunteer Airport Ambassadors, recognizable by their green polo shirts with the words ‘Airport Information’, they can provide information, not only about airport and flights, but also about hotels, rental cars and public transport. There are also information desks (tel: +1(0)619 231 7361 or +1(0)619 231 5230).

Business

San Diego Airport does not have a business center, but the Sheraton opposite the airport offers extensive business facilities, including state-of-the-meeting rooms, conference rooms and exhibition space for up to 2,000 people.

Disabled  facilities

San Diego airport is very accessible to disabled people. There are modified elevators and toilets, in addition, there are wheelchair slopes and text. Both the shuttle buses and the Flyer Bus to San Diego are accessible to wheelchair users. Also, the Airport Ambassadors can provide assistance. At the parking areas, there are disabled parking spaces near the elevators to the suspended bridge.

Other services

There are eight Bank of America ATM's located throughout the three terminals. The exchange office in Terminal 1 is open from 07:30-15:00, the office in Terminal 2 is located behind the security check and is open from 06:30-16:00. Outside the terminal building there are mail boxes. There are no smoking areas in San Diego Airport, you are allowed to smoke outside, but not too close to the entrance, there are ashtrays at locations where smoking is allowed.
