Bucharest Airport

Bucharest Airport is officially called Henri Coanda/Otopeni International Airport and is 16 kilometers north of the Romanian capital. It is named after the Romanian aviation pioneer Henri Coanda, Otopeni is the name of the place where the airport is. The airport is growing rapidly, in 2007, 4.5 million travelers were expected. There are two terminals, Domestic and International, which a free shuttle bus goes between.

Prices are given here in the Romanian lei (RON). Be advised: from January 1, 2007 only the new lei was the official currency and the old lei (ROL) was abolished, €1.00 = RON 3.40 (January 2007).
