Chania Airport

Chania International Airport Ionnis Daskologiannis is one of Crete's three airports. It's named after an 18th century Greek freedom fighter. The airport is situated in western Crete, on a peninsula east of Chania. Yearly, Chania Airport handles approximately 1.5 million travelers. It's also a military airport. Many Americans visit their family on a nearby military basis, but the Chania area is also very popular among tourists.
