Local transport
Train
There are two rail connections with the airport. The Keikyū train service connects Haneda Airport with Shinagawa and Yokohama train stations. This line also connects with the Toei Asakusa Line, which runs through the eastern districts of Tokyo.
There's also a monorail connection with Hamamatsuchō station, from where you can reach several other destinations in Tokyo.
Car and bus
The airport is situated 15 kilometers south of Tokyo's center. Kawasaki and Yokohama are located southwest of the airport. Tokyo International Airport is easily accessible by rental car via Highway 1. Keep in mind that the roads in Tokyo and especially around the airport are often very busy. Make sure to allow sufficient time in order not to miss your flight!
There are several bus connections from Haneda Airport to destinations in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Saitama and other places in the Kanto region. In the Arrivals Hall you'll find a clear sign with road information. Here you can also buy your bus tickets, at a counter (the same as for hotel bookings) or at a ticket machine.
Car rental Tokyo International Airport
There are two general car rental companies (Japaren Car Rental and Nippon Rent-a-Car) at Tokyo Airport, the other three are linked to Japanese car brands (Mazda, Nissan and Toyota). You can find the counters in the Arrivals Hall.
Taxi
Taxis can be found outside the terminal. A taxi ride to the center of Tokyo is not cheap, expect about 7,000 yen. A cheaper option is the Airport Shuttle Bus, for which you can book a seat online.
Airport Parking
There's a large parking garage, nearby the terminal. For the first 4½ hour you pay 150 yen per 30 minutes. The day rate for the first three days is 1,500 yen, after that the rate is 1,000 yen per day. You can book a parking place online. For more information about parking at Tokyo International Airport you can call +81(0)3 6428 0121.
