Wellington International Airport

The international airport of the New Zealand capital was thoroughly renovated in 2010. A new terminal was built, nicknamed 'The Rock'. When the design was made public there was a lot of criticism, many thought the plan for the building was 'awful'. But at the inauguration most users felt positive. 'The Rock' consists of brass plates which will turn green-blue by oxidation. From the outside the terminal indeed looks like a rock.
