Montréal-Trudeau Airport

The airport, in full, is called Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport after a former Canadian Prime Minister. The name is daring because Trudeau just built a new airport, north of the city, that had become the new airport of Montréal. It was a flop. That airport (Mirabel Airport) was almost only for used for cargo transportation. Montréal-Trudeau processes 11 million passengers per year. In order to capture the growth in passenger numbers there are major renovations being carried out. After completion the airport will have a capacity of 20 million passengers per year.
