Train

There is no train connection with the airport.

Car and Bus

The airport is 45 kilometers southeast of Murcia and three kilometers from San Javier along the AP-7 (Cartagena–Alicante), this is a toll road. The coastal road N-332 connects to all the popular seaside resorts and golf resorts on the Mar Menor coast, such as Torrevieja and La Manga. From San Javier the airport is accessible via the F-31. A bus leaves only three times per day, Latbus, number 73 (tel: +43(0)968 250 088) between the airport and Murcia. The departure times from the airport to Murcia are 17:45, 19:15 and 22:45. From Murcia to the airport, the bus leaves at 13:00, 15:15 (only Monday, Friday and Saturday) and 17:30, a ticket costs €7.00, and travel time is approximately 45 minutes.

Car rental - Murcia – San Javier Airport

In the Arrivals Hall there are counters for the following car rental companies: Centauro, Europcar, Sol-Mar and Europa Rent-a-car. You can also reserve a rental car in advance using the service EasyTerra provides, they compare the rates of several providers in a single quote.

Taxi

Taxis are outside the Arrivals Hall. A ride to Murcia costs approximately €50.00, to Alicante €80.00, to Torrevieja €25.00 and to La Manga between €30.00 and € 40.00.

Airport Parking

There are places for 900 cars in the parking area right in front of the terminal. The rates are a little unclear, count on approximately €0.40 per half hour and €6.00 for the whole day. You can call the general telephone number for more information about parking.
