Train

There's no train connection with Ljubljana Airport. It's proposed however to construct a rail connection with both the capital and Kranj.

Car and bus

The airport is situated 26 kilometers north of Ljubljana and is easily accessible by rental car. The airport lies along the freeway A2 (E61) from Ljubljana to Kranj. The exit to the airport is clearly signposted.

There are bus connections between the bus station at the airport and Ljubljana and Kranj. There's also a shuttle bus which brings you faster to the center of the Slovenian capital.

Car rental Ljubljana Airport

You can find counters of car rental companies in the Arrivals Hall. Eight rental companies are present at Ljubljana Airport: Atet, Avant, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt. You can also book a rental car in advance using the service provided by EasyTerra; they compare the rates of several providers in a single quote.

Taxi

Taxis (Tel. +386(0)59 060 777) are lined up in front of the Arrivals Hall. A taxi ride to Ljubljana's center is however not cheap: expect to pay at least € 45. The current rates can be found on the website of Airport Taxi, where you can also book a taxi.

Airport Parking

Parking garage P1 lies opposite the terminal. You pay approximately € 2 per hour. On the long-term open-air parking lot you pay € 10 per day for the first 3 days, and then € 5 per day.
