Local transport
Train
There is no train connection with the airport, but the FlyBus goes to Venezia-Mestre Train Station from the terminal. There is also a bus connection with the Venezia-Santa Lucia Station.
Car and bus
The airport is 12 kilometers outside of Venice along the SS14 to Trieste, the airport is clearly indicated on the traffic signs. From the Tangenziale ring road, Venezia-Mestre you go right to the SS14, after about 300 meters there is a left exit to the airport.
In front of the Arrivals Hall there are buses from two companies: ACTV (tel: +39(0)41 2722111) and ATVO (tel: +39(0)421 383672), both take you to the center of Venice, there are also regular buses to Mestre Train Station, Padua and the beach resorts by Venice.
Of course there are possibilities to go to Venice by water, for example with Alilaguna (tel: +39(0)4 1541 5180) or ATVO (tel: +39(0)4 1541 6555), for both water bus companies tickets are available in the Arrivals Hall.
Car rental - Venice Marco Polo Airport
You can find counters in the Arrivals Hall for 10 car rental companies: AutoEuropa, Avis, Easy Car, Hertz, Europcar, Locauto Tirreno, Maggiore, Targa Rent, Travelcar and Thrifty. You can also reserve a rental car in advance using the service EasyTerra provides, they compare the rates of several providers in a single quote.
Taxi
Taxis are in front of the Arrivals Hall (tel: +39(0)41 5952080). Private water taxis (tel: +39(0)4 1541 5084) can be reserved online.
Airport Parking
There are two short-term parking areas in front of the new terminal, P5 costs €2.00 per hour and P6 costs €5.00 per hour. There are two parking garages in front of the old terminal, P1 and P4, with a large parking area, P2, behind them, you pay €5.00 for 2 hours parking or €13.50 for 24 hours. Long-term parking is in P7, for 2 days you pay €21.00, one week €58.50, this lies some distance from the terminal, but there is a shuttle bus connection.
