Local transport

Train

The airport has a subway connection with Nuremberg. Every 10-15 minutes a train leaves for the terminus Hauptbahnhof, in the city center.

Car and bus

Nuremberg Airport is situated only 5 kilometers north of the city center, in the outskirts of Nuremberg. The airport is easily accessible via freeway A3 (Frankfurt-Regensburg). This road connects to two other freeways, A9 and A6. Together these freeways form a ring road around Nuremberg.

There's a bus stop in front of the terminal. Bus 32 maintains the connection with Nuremberg's center.

Car rental Nuremberg Airport

You can find counters of car rental companies in the Arrivals Hall. Four rental companies are present at Nuremberg Airport: Avis, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt. Taxi

Taxis (tel: +49(0)911 194 10) take 15 minutes or less to get from Nuremberg Airport to the city center. A taxi ride to the city center costs about € 16.

There are three parking garages (P1, P2 and P3) and three open-air parking lots (P7, P12 and P31) near the airport terminal.
