Hotels

There are no hotels at Chiang Mai Airport. The nearest hotel is 3B Boutique Bed & Breakfast Hotel‎ (Tel. +66(0)53 279 430). Better accommodation can be found in Chiang Mai's center: Shangri-La Hotel Chiang Mai (Tel. +66(0)53 253 888), The Chedi Chiang Mai‎ (Tel. +66(0)53 253 333), Puripunn Baby Grand Boutique Hotel (Tel. +66(0)53 302 898) and Rachamankha Boutique Hotel‎ (Tel. +66(0)53 904 111). For more hotels and to book online, you can go to Booking.com. They offer a large range of hotels, at competitive internet rates.

Shops and restaurants

Chiang Mai Airport is small and the number of eating and drinking facilities limited: a small restaurant, two coffee shops and some snack counters. The number of shops is also limited: apart from a duty-free shop there are some souvenir shops. Nearby the airport there's a huge shopping center, Airport Plaza.

Baggage

You cannot deposit baggage at Chiang Mai Airport. For lost-and-found objects you need to turn to the information desk.

Information

You can turn to the Information Counter (Tel. +66(0)53 2702 2100/1) in the central hall for inquiries about Chiang Mai Airport, flight schedules and airport services. There's also a kiosk of the Thai Hotels Association (Tel. +66(0)53) 922 129).

Business

Thai Airways has a VIP lounge at Chiang Mai Airport, but other than that there are no business facilities. For this you need to turn to the larger hotels in the city center, like the Shangri-La Hotel and The Chedi (see Hotels).

Disabled facilities

Chiang Mai Airport has excellent accessibility for the disabled. There are wheelchair ramps, adapted elevators and toilets, and also low-hanging telephones. Parking places have also been reserved for disabled travelers near the terminal entrance.

Other services

Exchange offices and ATM's can be found in the central hall. There are also several kiosks and travel agents who organize tours around Chiang Mai and a counter to book hotels. Apart from a small internet café, wireless internet (Wi-Fi) is available to customers of the Black Canyon coffee shop. The First Aid station (Tel. +66(0)53 2702 2220) is located in the Arrivals Hall.
