Shanghai Pudong International Airport

Pudong Airport was opened in 1999 to relieve Hong Qiao International Airport, but a few years after it was opened, its capacity turned out to be insufficient. That is why a new Terminal (2) was built, which was opened late March 2008. In Terminal 2, flights by Air China, Shanghai Airlines and other companies of the Star Alliance are handled. There are plans to build a third terminal.
